Board of Directors
David Heyl (President) has been involved with Four County Players since 1980 when he served as
President. No stranger to adversity, David took up the 4CP cause and fought off an
attack that would have been the theater's ruin. Thanks to him, and many others
through the years, 4CP is a thriving theater community that will continue to improve. In
his "real" life David works as a mortgage loan officer, and lives with his wife Elizabeth
and their three kids in Somerset, VA.

Geri Carlson Sauls (Vice President) moved to Barboursville in September 2008, and jumped right into the wonderful
4CP theater community by playing Nancy in Oliver!. Since then she has directed Annie and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,
and choreographed Cabaret. She is excited to be involved with 4CP as a member of the Board.
She served on the Board of Saratoga Drama Group in the San Jose, CA area before moving here.
During the day Geri is a veterinarian at Albemarle Veterinary Health Care Center. Geri also teaches dance at
Brushwood School of Dance (tap and jazz). She thinks it's wonderful to have such an established, good quality local theater group— we can all be entertained as well as enriching the community.

Wendy Novicoff (Treasurer) has been Four County's Treasurer since 2006, and she has been involved in productions here since 1993.
She is proud to have worked on more than 20 shows with Four County, both onstage and offstage.
She is also grateful for the wonderful friends she has been privileged to meet during her time working with the organization and truly making the theater her home away from home.
In her "real" life, she is on the faculty of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, concentrating on doing outcomes research in orthopedic surgery and public health and teaching research methods to medical students and residents.
She lives in Charlottesville with her husband Bob and their cat Bandit.

Gary White (Secretary) became involved with Four County Players in 2001, appearing
in such shows as You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Little Women, and Once Upon a
Mattress. In 2006, Gary joined the Board of Directors and was shortly thereafter
appointed its Secretary. Since 2007, he has been instrumental in putting together the
theatrical season as well as special events and concerts. By day, he works at Tucker
Griffin Barnes P.C. in Charlottesville as a real estate paralegal. He lives in Barboursville.
He still occasionally finds time to be on the stage starring in productions at Four County
Players, New Lyric Theatre, and Live Arts, as well as singing in local concerts. He
regards Four County as his "theatrical home base" and has met some of his best
friends here. He thinks that this organization has something very special about it, and is
extremely excited about its future.

Elaine Fogliani ignores the saying,"you can't go home again" because Elaine has done just that with her return to the Four County Players Board of Directors. In the late 1970's, Elaine made her stage debut as the doctor in Ten Little Indians, directed by Four County Players founder, Bill Thomas. One evening as she left the stage, Tommie Mayne, a great supporter of the Players, asked her if she would direct the upcoming House at Pooh Corner with a cast of children. When Elaine responded that she didn't know how to direct a show, Tommie said, “Don't worry. We will all be there to help you." From this directing debut, Elaine went on to direct Velveteen Rabbit and the first 4CP production of Annie. She produced the 10th anniversary show, The Best of Barboursville and was the costume coordinator for My Fair Lady. (This was not an easy feat for one who cannot sew.)
Elaine did whatever was needed for “the show to go on…" After a hiatus from the Players as her career took her to various places in Virginia, Elaine returned in 2001 to direct the second 4CP production of Mame. Her career often took her away from her Four County Players home as she served K-12 education in Virginia for more than 30 years. She is a retired school superintendent and currently serves as the educational planner for Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates, Architects in Charlottesville. Elaine invites other “old timers” (what she calls those who served Four County Players in the past) to also come home. Elaine plans to expand membership and increase membership involvement while sharing the historical memories of this wonderful theatre.

Edward Warwick joined the cast of Annie in 2011, and has been involved
with Four County Players both on and offstage ever since. He most recently served as the Co-Director of our Four
County Kids Summer Theater Camp and the Scenic Designer for Endgame in The Cellar. He holds a B.S. in
Elementary Education/Interdisciplinary Studies from Radford University and an M.Ed. in Student Affairs Practice
in Higher Education from the University of Virginia. By day, he works as the Coordinator of Student Life for the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. Residing
in Charlottesville, he has found a true home in the theater community, starring in productions at Four County
Players, Live Arts, and Heritage Repertory Theatre Festival. He even met his amazing fiancé through community
theater. An actor and performer since early childhood, he sincerely appreciates all of the wonderful
opportunities Four County Players has given him to experience theater on and offstage. He is honored and
excited to be serving on the Board of Directors, and he looks forward to helping this wonderful organization,
theater, and family grow and flourish for years to come.

Tres Wells When he is not searching for the next digit of pi, Tres Wells can be found making hexaflexagons with his son, Connor, on stage at various local theaters, or watching reruns of classic science fiction shows with his daughter, Cate. Linda Hogan came to know Four County Players as an audience member when she moved to Woodberry Forest in 1988. Several years later, she had her debut as a stage mom when her oldest daughter, Miranda, and her husband, Marc, had roles in A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Shakespeare at the Ruins series. More recently, her daughter Anna Grey played Huck in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and was a cast member in Godspell. Linda's youngest daughter, Cordelia, dances at The Orange School of Performing Arts. Linda herself stays out of the spotlight, preferring to capture that light with a camera. She works in communications at Woodberry Forest School, where she takes photographs and writes copy for the school's print and web publications. Linda holds degrees in English and education from Arizona State University and the University of Virginia and has taught middle school humanities at Grymes Memorial School and St. Luke’s School.
She joined the Four County Players board in October of 2013 because she's seen over the years its commitment to continual improvement and its impact on the lives of everyone who gets involved, whether onstage, behind the scenes, or in the audience.

Megan Randall fell in love with the theater when, as a child, her mother would perform songs and dances from Broadway shows to keep her entertained. As a young 12 year old, she stepped on the stage in South Pacific as a nurse and was so awestruck by the lights, music and energy she never wanted to leave (much to the dismay of the stage managers). Since coming to Charlottesville in 2005, Megan has been involved in several shows at Live Arts and Play On! She also served on the Board of Play On for a few years. Now, as a new member of the board at Four County she can't wait to smell the grease paint and hear the roar of the crowds once more. She is grateful to be ensconced in such a wonderful theater community.
Carl R. Schwaner has a lifelong love of theater and has been working locally in the technical aspects of theater for a decade in many of the area’s venues. His contributions to Four County Players include sound design and operation for Into the Woods and Godspell. A common thread throughout his time in theater is passing on his love of theater to the youth of our community. Other than the sense of family embodied in 4CP, Carl's biggest draw to becoming involved is the theater's dedication to encouraging youth to take an active part in productions. Seeing a young person bask in the glow of accomplishment and audience appreciation is the best reward possible. All the world's a stage ...
